Cynthia L. Rients Fox, 19745 UIU graduate, teaches art at the Oelwein Middle School.  She also serves as the K-12 art department head, director of the middle school theatre productions and middle school annual advisor. She has been selected three times to be included in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers.

Having grown up in rural Fayette County, Iowa, rural subjects such as landscapes, animals, and farm buildings are the main focus of her watercolors, pastels, and drawing with equine portraiture as a passion.  Her artwork can be seen at The Guild in downtown Oelwein where Oelwein area visual artists are featured.  Cynthia accepts commission work.  Cynthia, her husband Gene, and son Morgan raise Arabian horses.
